TMC: What made you want to pursue music?
EM: Stared off as me being a fan of music growing up listening to different genres of music I fell in love with it. A friend had asked me to jump on a song with him even though I didn't rap at that time, so I did it heard what i recorded through the loud speakers & I knew that I could do this & do it very well! I am competitive person mixing that with the passion for music it was a easy choice for me to purse music.
TMC: How are you different from other artists on the come up?
EM: Im different from other artists is that I really can RAP!! lol I feel like the combinations of my delivery, metaphors, relatability separates me from the usual content that artists unsigned or signed is putting out. Also my voice is very distinguished you will know its me on a track or wont confuse me with nobody else.
TMC: What has been your biggest achievement since in the industry?
EM: A couple things, being able to get my single played on major radio in my hometown 3 times a week for a long period of time is something that a lot of artists is not doing. I felt accomplished ny being able to pull that off! Also performing in New York city (Times Square) was a great experience for me I gotta put that up there
TMC: Musically, who can you say are your biggest influences?
EM: The biggest influence was artists like Biggie, Bone thugs & Harmony, Fabulous was a big influence because the way he can go in lyrically & than turn around & make a catchy song & do it well. I have to say going through a struggle with this music is my biggest influence just knowing you can make it or accomplish things along the way influences me to keep creating fresh music & going harder.
TMC: Tell us something that people may not know about you?
EM: lol man People might not know about me is that my Favorite show to this day is "Martin" lol i watched that now! Also that I'm a very thoughtful person when it comes to government, politics, news, I just don't believe everything that we was taught growing up......it can get deep.
TMC: What's Next? New projects?
EM: Whats next is taking over the world, naw my new single "Say So" is doing great radio plays, getting ready to shoot the visual for that & got a project "Next Level" coming out at the top of the year 2013 so steady working & keep expanding my network that I have created for myself.

TMC: What sets you apart from other artists? Charm: I am a female with lyrics number one (much needed in todays music industry)! I don't prefer to talk about materialistic things like many other rappers choose. I speak on all issues from the streets, politics, education, fun, sports, and male bashing(Just Kidding)!
TMC: Tell us something people may not know about you?Charm: I won an Atlanta Underground Music Award within the first year of my career. It was titled the "S.T.A.R.S." award, which stands for "Strive in Achieving Respect & Success in the music industry".
TMC: What projects do you have planned for the near future? Charm: I will be releasing my new EP this fall which includes my singles, Poinsetta (over 15,000 views on youtube), Vibrate (Battle Grounds champion on Hot 107.9), and my new dance record titled "To the Top (Drop)".
The new era of music includes the likes of Scooter Smiff, Mindless Behavior, Diggy Simmons, and Jacob Latimore. But now, there is a new up and coming artist that’s about to take the freshman music group by storm! Her name is, “that’s right!” HER name is “CHARM”! Charm is a very talented young lady from the streets of Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of Yolanda and Keith Russell. Keith Russell, a convicted felon, was determined to see his daughter, Charm make better decisions on her personal journey to success. A former artist himself, Keith encourages Charm to work on her skills day in and day out. Yolanda Russell believes that Charm was a blessing from the skies since she was not expected to have any more children during the time of Charm’s conception. Yolanda stated, “A woman told me that she dreamed about Charm being surrounded by many people, some will hate her and most will love her.” This same woman was killed nearly two weeks later and her prediction has been on the mind of Yolanda Russell ever since. During the summer of 2011, Charm was introduced via Keith Russell, to “John Boy on Da Track,” a multi-platinum producer. John Boy was floored when he heard Charm’s skills for the first time ever in a recording studio. “It was so raw and natural”, said John Boy. “She has talents that can’t be taught!” A few months later, John Boy signed Charm to a recording agreement under his personal label, Bionic Entertainment, aka “8 Oasis”! Charm has since released a five song promotional EP titled “Charm School”, which includes street certified single “Yeen Know” and self-titled single “Charm School” featuring Princess of Crime Mob. Kaine, of the Ying Yang Twins, provided assistance and coaching for the project. Charm’s influences include Nikki Minaj, Chris Brown, T.I., Tyga, and Beyonce. If you like the new age of music, then you will LOVE what Charm has to bring to the table. After one feature on his new rap comrads' Sluttyboyz debut mixtape 'Chu Dont Dew' and being featured in the video for a freestyle remix to the song 'Wonton Soup', which would rack up half a million views on youtube, the demand for him to make more music was extremely clear. The concept of the mixtape would go on to define the style of DC new generation artists and create a movement recognized all around the world and online. Being a large contributor to this new movement's style and swag Shepherd, whose goes by the rap name Oochie, career continues to develops as his fan base online and especially in the DMV area grows at a rapid rate.
Name: Dominant
Location: Georgetown,SC
Genre: Rap/Hip-Hop
Label/Unsigned: Unsigned
TMC: Question: What sets you apart from other artists?
What set's me apart is my grammer. Im from Georgetown,SC and we have a semi Geeche dialect from our neighbor Charleston County. You hear artist like Rick Ross talk about it, but its big here in South Carolina. Also, im a artist who doesnt limit his music. I'll try any style/sound once. im only 5'4, but I find it funny when people that dont know me hear my music and says " dude raps like he's at least 6 feet tall" lol That's pretty different too. Just living up to my name DOMINANT. I demand attention when speaking :)
Brand new single "Check How I Do It" is now available on "Itunes and "Rhapsody.com NOW!!
The south has held the hip hop crown for some time now, and as it continues to progress, South Carolina adds new quality talent to the scene on a frequent basis. The latest addition is newcomer Dominant, a young diverse artist ready to showcase his talent and contribute to the southern hip hop movement.
Hailing from Georgetown, South Carolina, Willie Winns Jr a.k.a. Dominant was born February 3rd, 1986 to parents Willie Winns Sr and Loucretta Windley and is the oldest of three. The 25-year-old rising star discovered his musical talent in the second grade. While growing his career in music, Dominant drew inspiration from his neighbor; Zaybo and his local rap group Drunken Gambinoz. He also credits Kris Kross, No Limit, and Cash Money Hot Boyz in playing an influential role in his career.
Following the success of “Just a Taste”, Dominant began working diligently on his first solo mixtape project. In the summer of 2009, he teamed up with South Carolina’s DJ Dynamite and released “On My Way to Stardom”. The mixtape showcases his versatility and abilities to adapt to different styles, while also catering to the ladies. “On My Way to Stardom” has served as an excellent introduction for the young artist, and proves that his journey will be full of accomplishments.
As Dominant has continued to pursue his solo career, his hard work and consistency has been paying off. In 2011, he won 2 SCUMA awards (South Carolina Underground Music Awards) for Best Collaboration with affiliate, Apollo, and Best Mixtape for “On My Way to Stardom”. He shows no signs of slowing down, as he is preparing to release his forthcoming mixtape, “DomSeason”, and is enjoying the success of his current single, “Check How I Do It”. It’s clear that others are beginning to take notice to Dominant and his talents, but he remains grounded and anxious to continue down the road of success. His work speaks for itself – he is a young, hungry artist capable of bringing refreshment to hip hop, and progresses in securing his spot as each day passes.

Not to be put in a box, BRISKY can also create songs geared more towards the females as displayed on his earlier mixtape 'Ladies & A Gentleman'. TMC: For those who may not know you, tell the people who Dot Com is.
Dot Com: last year's carolina music award winner for best new artist and the fastest rising underground artist in the south ! one who was able to utilize the internet like no other and get this far without a budget or a professional team around him including a manager, all which is about to be taken care of.TMC: How exactly did you get that name Dot Com?
Dot Com: all about evolution i guess, my initial stage name was r-dot, then i dropped the "r" b/c there were so many, ex: j-dot, c-dot, b-dot ... then later while working as an internet repair tech, i started having fun with urls as a sneaky way to fool around w/o management catching on, for example i would type something like http://www.ihatethisdamnjob.com & no one would be able 2 even see what i typed , only those who knew what was up after they clicked the link ! there's alot more to it as well, but that's initially where it all began, then it just made sense, we live in the internet era , and i believe i am the future of hip hop & an example of how to make it in this day & age even if you don't have the funds or the professional help as long as you're able to utilize the net. TMC: What was it about being an artist that made you want to pursue it?
Dot Com: not one thing in particular, this is just my purpose in life so it was either pursue it or shift the stars lol
TMC: How do feel you a are a Unique Artist?
Dot Com: well specifically with rap artists, im unique due to my background, i came from a very rough area & i made it out and then went to a "white" college, so im very well rounded & balanced & that shows through my music. Im also unafraid to be myself, and im proud of my education and the fact that im a smart individual, alot of artist are musically sound but not so smart in the common sense of intellect, and then you have some of those who actually are very smart yet they try to downplay it to portray some type of persona that isn't really them.
TMC: What projects do you currently have in the works that you can tell us?
Dot Com: due to me taking this 1st 1/2 of the year to focus on finally getting my business foundation laid so i can truly pursue things on the career side , beginning in June i'll be releasing alot of free mixtapes , some conceptual, some just randomly put together with different djs, but some i can speak about will be "P.O.T.S (Prince Of The South)" , "For The Ladies Vol. 2" , & A Compilation Project with My team SSG
TMC: I seen a lot about "SuperStar Swag Gang" can you tell us a little bit about that?
Dot Com: we are a collective organization of individual superstars in our own right, we each possess that appeal that would have common folk approach us even if they didn't realize who we were, it's just something about us. we welcome all of our fans & supporters to take part in it, b/c it's not just music it's a lifestyle and all about carrying yourself with the swag of a superstar ! musically, we'll be putting out our first compilation project "#SwagSalute" this summer & i'll focus on marketing some of the top artists on the team.
TMC: Name some people you look up to when it comes to music?
Dot Com: my list is pretty typical i guess, but it's really 2pac, big, jayz, nas, eminem, some atypical ppl i look up to is james brown, michael jackson, prince, elvis & rick james , they were all some of the greatest entertainers ever and more-so then just a musician im an entertainer.
TMC: What's something people may not know about you?
Dot Com:i skipped the 2nd grade , i used to be a genius lol
TMC: What's next for Dot Com?
Dot Com: Well after finally getting official management & a budget everyone can expect me to takeover the region as fast as i took over my local market
