Standing out isn't easy. In fact, as crowded as modern pop culture is, it is nearly impossible in this day and age. However, when an artist does pave a different path, it is instantly felt everywhere. You certainly feel that the instant you hear Harry Hudson.
The 19-year-old Los Angeles singer breathes a deep message into irresistible pop R&B songs. With a dynamic voice and even more dynamic presence, he is ready to flip the script.
Hudson discovered music almost as soon as he learned to talk, listening to Michael Jackson records constantly with his mother while growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. In high school, music turned into a serious passion as he recorded demos with his friends, even squeezing into a bathroom in order to get the perfect echo on his MacBook. After graduating high school, he made a songwriting pilgrimage for two months to Sweden, and everything became clear.
"I'm not in it for fame and money," Hudson concludes. "I want my music to bring joy to people who have trouble finding beauty in life. I want to be an example. So many people are self-conscious, girls and guys. I want to encourage people to be unique. Be yourself, that's beautiful."
That style will stand out for a long time to come.
TMC: For those who unfamiliar, tell the people who Harry Hudson is?
HH: I'm a 19 year-old, independent pop artist from L.A., and my debut single -
"World Is Gone" - dropped on Valentines Day of 2013.
TMC: What made you want to pursue music as a career?
HH: In high school, music turned into a serious passion for me. After high
school, I differed from Columbia School of Chicago's music school to move to
Sweden for 2 months where I worked with a Swedish producer and songwriter who I met here in LA. I didn't know what it took to pursue a music career until I met them. In Sweden, we all slept on the freezing cold floor in an attic of a tiny recording studio. I hated it, and I almost quit because of it, but it challenged me to work harder. It made me hungry. I realized that nothing was going to be handed to me, and if I wanted to make it, I'm going to have to work harder for it. When I got back home, I was ready.
TMC: Name some people who influence you when it comes to music?
HH: Michael Jackson, Eminem, and Justin Timberlake have all had an impact on me and my music in different respects.
TMC: What is your favorite thing about being an artist?
HH: I don't think there is a better feeling than knowing your music has a
positive influence on people. If I can make someone's day a little brighter with a song, then I'm accomplishing what I set out to do as an artist.

TMC: Not too long ago you released your first single "World is Gone".. How did
you come up with the concept.. Give a little insight for those who haven't heard
it... & the response you've gotten from it so far
HH: The concept for "World Is Gone" came from an experience I had with a girl I met last summer. I thought she was beautiful, but she kept denying me when I'd asked her out. Instead of giving up, I wanted to prove that I could love her until the end of time. In the end, I didn't het the girl which is fine because it inspired my debut single!….. For people who haven't heard "World Is Gone," it's an eternal love song that takes elements of pop, hip-hop, R&B, and house and fuses it all together. Listen to it and you'll understand…. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from bloggers, music magazines, and all my followers on my social networks. "World Is Gone" was #1 on the Hype Machine's most popular
songs on twitter for 3 days straight, which was awesome. I think the only
negative response I've gotten is from my neighbors telling me to shut up when I sing it really loud in the shower.
TMC: Greatest Achievement since doing music?
HH: This interview tops them all!
TMC: What makes you stand out from all the other artists trying to come up?
HH: I'm very confident in myself as an artist. I don't do covers, I don't do
anyone else but me. I want to be an example for young people to be unique, to be themselves, because that's beautiful.
TMC: What's something people may not know about Harry Hudson?
HH: As world renown chef, I'm best known for my grilled cheese, top ramen, and cinnamon toast crunch... Oh yeah, and I'm single. Ladies get at me ;).

TMC: For those who are unfamiliar, tell the people who Tyran Brown is? TB: Tyran Brown is a young dude straight out of Cali with the heart of a lion and the head of a brick. One of the smartest, most ratchet, most intelligent, most handsome people your going to ever meet.
TMC: What made you want to pursue music as a career?
TB: I always had a passion for the art and felt I was better than a lot of my peers and a lot of people in the industry. Then as I got older, studying the industry and relating it to what I learned in college I gained the confidence to be successful in this business.
TMC: Name some people who influence you when it comes to music?
TB: NAS first off... I have spent more time studying his craft that any thing else to be honest with you.. The flow, the lyricism, story telling and the way he makes the songs he wants to make without being worried about anyone else.. DOPE.. Lately I've been really influenced by Andre 3000. I honestly think if he had more material he would be considered the best ever. Then you have T.I., Scarface, Big Pun, and Eminem who have a definite influence on the way I put my flow and lyrics together.

TMC: What is your favorite thing about being an artist?
TB: Well in the stage that I'm in now, I like when people first hear me and they expect me to be weak or typical then they get surprised by how talented I am, but they don't want to seem like a groupie so they just say "Man. you're pretty good" hahaha just kidding but I'm kind of serious. But honestly my favorite thing about it is I get to be creative and share my thoughts and feelings and it's the only time I get to give everybody my honest perspective from top to bottom.. the good and the bad it's all T. I also like to perform and be on the stage sweating like the cops pulled me over.
TMC: You are affiliated with G.O.O.D Music, how did this come about & how is it working with the artist?
TB: Most def shout out to the G.O.O.D. music fam for showing love. Basically I met Malik Yusef in LA in 2012. Malik made me rap for him and he was feeling me so long story short he took me under his wing and I went to some awards shows and whatnot with him, he introduced me to the staff and we worked on some music together. It's pretty dope but at the same time I got a lot of work to do and continue to build my brand. The main thing I've learned since I started progressing is the second you get comfortable or complacent your moment is gone so I still approach it like I'm by myself and whatever opportunity they give me I'm going to be there definitely but I still got a big mountain to climb by myself as an artist.

TMC: Biggest Challenge & Greatest Achievement since doing music?
TB: The biggest challenge for me is patience. Especially when I'm used to moving by myself or getting things handled when I want them to, now that I have a team with me I have to move differently and wait on things to happen, but I always get better results, but I be going crazy sometimes waiting. Greatest achievement has honestly just been the progress. I'm sitting here eating dinners next to No I.D. while Pharell and Quincy Jones are getting honored. I'm in New York sitting front row at a fashion show and all eyes on me like who is this guy, and it all stems from the fact that I believed in myself, worked hard, and prepared myself to be ready. so the greatest achievement is the confidence I have gained in the last year.
TMC: What makes you stand out from all the other artists trying to come up?
TB: A few things. For one, I look at this from a business aspect first. So many people don't realize that this is an INDUSTRY and it's called the entertainment BUSINESS. A lot of people get surprised when we are in meetings how engaged I am in the functionality of it all. Artistically, my versatility stands out, so many people master one type of style, me I'm a young Lebron out there I can give you any type of song you need and it never looks forced, because it's always authentic. I can't be boxed into a category because I give you all of my personalities even if I contradict myself at times I embrace it I'm a gemini. Also, I'm tall hahahaha... I run into a lot of these tough guy artists and they be like 5'3 108 pounds trying to turn up I laugh at a lot of these dudes honestly.
TMC: What's something people may not know about Tyran Brown?
TB: You may not know that your girl is thinking about me every time she's laying next to you hahahaha. But nah, y'all may not know that I'm really here to make a lasting impression. I'm not trying to just get in here make some money and pop some bottles. I really want to have an impact on my generation and lead people in a way that Tupac, Malcolm X, and even Jay Z have lead there generations. Its just up to me to get there.

WHAT WE STAND FOR:
Coup Street is an L.A. based brand that symbolizes the hunger and hustle that exists in all of us when we chase after our dreams. To us, a pigeon is a perfect example of a species constantly on their grind. But what makes them special, is they don’t live in a forest or the mountains, like other birds. They live on the streets, and buildings are their cliffs. And whether they have a broken wing, or hop around on one leg, they’re out there, competing on a daily basis. On the streets, pigeons have become so common in fact, that most people don’t even acknowledge their presence when standing next to them at a street light. And it is this hustle that goes unrecognized, that we strive to embody in our brand. Whether you’re out on the streets selling ice creams, or mixtapes, as long as you’re trying to elevate, and get to the next level, we respect that. We chose to spell coop, c-o-u-p, as in “coup d’etat” which symbolizes the takeover. The overthrow of a mentality that you’re better than the person next to you because of the job you have, or the car you drive. Respect everyone that strives to get to a better place. Because one day when you least expect it, they have risen to a higher level. So high in fact, that if they choose to, they might just shit on you. Respect the grind!WHAT WE'RE UP TO:
We strive to bring a new style and message to the industry. We feel like we have something to say and have various ways of expressing ourselves. One way is our shirts. Along with our own designs, we work with up and coming artists that we feel reflect what we're trying to say. We also have our masks and mannequins that add a special flavor to our unique mixture. We're also making our very own animated series to go along with our brand. Something that no other clothing brand has done. The animation is called "Couped Up". It is a story about some inner city pigeons that live in a pigeon coop in the hood. Right now Coup Street is working on the animatic version of the pilot that will be released later this month.
WORD ON THE STREET:
Coup Street has been on the move, hustling just like their feathered friend. They have a street wear, graffiti vibe to them, but what makes them stand out is the artwork and witty approach to the game. They've beengetting a lot of fame from their mannequin that they use to display their clothing. The mannequin took over 100 hours to make and was drawn by hand with acrylic markers.
