TJ: My musical gifts were realized at a young age. Like many kids from the inner-city, I too had dreams of being a star. Aside from that, music is a great form of expression for an artist. I think that the quest for most of us in life is to be loved and give love. Music allows me to do both.

TMC: Who can you say inspires you the most when it comes to music?
TJ: I'm inspired by the greats: Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Al Green, 2 Pac, and Notorious BIG are just a few of the artist that have and continue to inspire me.

TJ: My music is emotional. In my opinion, "raw emotion" is an element that has been lacking from a lot of today's music.

TJ: My biggest challenge has been enduring the process of starting from zero. It's hard to be patient when you know in your heart that you've put the work in... My biggest achievement thus far has been holding down the #1 spot on London's (UK) Independent Artist Countdown for consecutive weeks. Also, I'd like to shout out Singersroom.com. My feature has received over 11k views in just a little over a month.
